- Review and analyze client data and accurately prepare income tax returns and tax research

Review tax work of less experienced staff and provide constructive feedback. (if applicable)

Analyze client general ledgers in order to suggest reclassifications and adjustments

Research and analyze specialized tax laws, rules and regulations, and analyze pertinent client, industry and technical matters

Learn each client’s business as it relates to a particular area or assignment

Continually update knowledge in order to remain current on tax legislation

Begin to recognize and take responsibility for flow of work assignments

Recognize when data is missing and exercise good judgment in obtaining it from the appropriate source

Be familiar with various tax preparation software, as well as, having a good understanding of other software

Follow policies and procedures addressed in the Human Resources Manual, as well as other Firm directives

Market firm services to existing and prospective clients (if applicable)

Assist with administrative activities when necessary
Required Education and Experience
1. Educational requirements
-
Undergraduate or graduate degree in accounting or an undergraduate or graduate degree with sufficient course work to achieve CPA certification upon passing the examination
2. Experience requirements
-
1-3 years of experience working in public accounting or similar environment
-
Knowledge of research tools, tax code and regulations
-
An understanding of tax standards

Knowledge of accounting theory and federal, state and local tax laws
