Interline and Postal Manager - Montreal or Toronto At Air Canada

The purpose of this position is to develop and maintain strong business relationships with our interline partners and postal authorities, to develop, grow sales and strengthen our strategic relationships with these partners. The position will report to the General Sales Manager, Global Partnerships and support regional sales teams as it relates to facilitating and developing continuous improvement solutions for our interline processes and agreements.
  • Act as primary commercial interface between Air Canada Cargo and its Interline partners.
  • Develop strong business relationship and partnerships between Air Canada Cargo and Interline Partners and postal Authorities.
  • Actively pursue and achieve revenue targets with Postal Authorities.
  • Review, develop and provide guidance to operational and service teams to enhance operational effectiveness and success between Air Canada Cargo and its interline partners.
  • Regularly review Interline and Postal contracts to ensure Air Canada Cargo is on track and maximizing all potential opportunities with these partners.
  • In collaboration with the appropriate operational counterparts, develop meaningful KPIs to track and improve commercial and operational targets with interline partners and postal authorities.
  • In collaboration with Customer Service and training, regularly review and update as appropriate any training material and standard procedures and help guides for Interline reservations and tracking.
  • Effectively develop and manage the sales plan by setting weekly/monthly/quarterly goals and objectives, prioritizing tasks, utilizing your time effectively and efficiently, and taking full advantage of available resources.
  • Work with Business Intelligence, Capacity Mgmt and Revenue management teams to identify new revenue opportunities with existing and potential interline partners.
  • Provide commercial support, analytical support & intelligence on the Interline and Postal partners to General Sales Manager, Partnerships, as well as the field sales teams.
  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure alignment of department, division and corporate objectives
  • Assist with all sales and marketing plans for commercial development of Interline and Postal sales.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of the cargo business with commercial sales experience.
  • Sales experience with proven success in meeting/exceeding measurable sales targets/quotas
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong negotiating skills.
  • Results oriented.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills in dealing with data and general industry information.
  • Proven time management and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to cope with irregular or multiple work demands
  • Ability to travel.
  • Proficiency with applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel,Power Point, and SalesForce CRM.
  • Undergraduate business degree a definite asset
