Community Partnership Support Manager - Montreal At Air Canada

Reporting to the Regional Markets and Government Relations branch, the Community Partnerships Support Manager is responsible for assisting the Manager, Community Partnerships with the evaluation, activation and communication of community and social sponsorships programs for Air Canada. The Support Manager’s key role is to provide project management support, sponsorship activation support, communications coordination with internal and external stakeholders and assist with the measurement of community sponsorship campaigns.

  • Support manager on the sorting, evaluation, implementation, communication and measurement of Community Partnerships’ programs including and not limited to the following pillars: Diversity & Inclusion, Official Languages, First Nations, Peace and social Justice, Education & Leadership, and varied Community-oriented causes, focusing on non-commercial applications in keeping with Air Canada’s brand strategy and identity as well as AC’s corporate and commercial objectives;
  • Manage internal relationships with applicable branches and functions to ensure smooth and timely implementation of Non-Commercial programs and liaise with Commercial and Non-commercial groups on all non-commercial activities in order to maximize Air Canada’s presence in the community;
  • Responsible to manage all incoming Community Partnerships requests;
  • Liaise with Law, Tax and Finance teams for the review and approvals of legal agreements, contracts and invoices;
  • Support manager on the activation and implementation of Air Canada’s presence at sponsored events (banners, kiosks, activation, contests, game, collateral, …) and oversee the quality assurance of these events;
  • Liaise with Community Partnerships partners regarding the administration of the sponsorship application process;
  • Prepare communication briefs necessary for the briefing of internal and external Communications teams and support the development of short messages, social media posts and speeches;
  • Support manager on the evaluation and measurement of the effectiveness of all activation programs and with any reporting requirements;
  • Support manager on the evaluation of incoming requests using the scorecard;
  • Responsible to manage effectively and efficiently, the administration pertaining to entire Community Partnerships portfolios such as but not limited to: hospitality assets, Ariba invoicing, Community Partnerships assets, etc.

Qualifications

  • University degree or equivalent experience (Political and Social science, Marketing (Event Planning) or Communication an asset)
  • Self-starter with demonstrated interpersonal skills, initiative and organized
  • Motivated by relationship management
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Thorough understanding of the of the Air Canada brand
  • Flexible hours
  • Travelling 50% of the time

Bilingual (English and French)
