The position: Aimco is seeking an apartment Development Construction Project Engineer in Corte Madera (maybe in Redwood City... we're flexible that way)!

These are not simple, boring, rehab projects. Instead, by bringing this vision to life, the Construction Project Engineer, will assist in the redevelopment of several of Aimco's premier properties in Los Angeles and the Orange County area. The Project Engineer, working with a project team, will be responsible for specific aspects of the redevelopment process including acting as the Owner's Construction Representative overseeing and monitoring project activities to ensure that projects are completed within prescribed schedules and budgets, in compliance with Aimco policies and procedures, and in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.

In addition, you have ownership of working within a cross functional internal team including business partners from our Development and Operations teams. The position is a highly visible role working closely within Aimco's entire team.
You should have at least of two to four years of experience in construction project management or development, built on the foundations of a strong technical background.
You must be a confident communicator with the level of presence necessary to present and influence project team members and high-level business unit leaders. Having a Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Construction Management, or Engineering is strongly desired.
