Your contribution at AIG

As a member of the Canadian AIG team, you will report to the Western Canada Branch Manager.

As a leader, you are respected for your deep technical expertise and/or ability to oversee programs, and processes. You balance the needs of multiple stakeholders, making sound decisions using data, analysis, experience, and judgement, along with a risk mindset. Ultimately, you take ownership for key outcomes.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, retain and expand brokerage relationships within assigned territory
  • Annual broker strategy goal setting and profiles for all Target brokers
  • Developing sales plans for targeted and impact accounts and recommending and promoting company products and services to brokers/customers based on their individualized needs
  • Develop Sales Pipeline and discipline around targeting accounts
  • Accountability in driving sales pipeline – achieved through superior dashboard analysis
  • Participation in Sales & Marketing communications, events and activities
  • Account coordination within profit centers for multi-line placements
  • Managing problem resolution with brokers as required

What we are looking for

  • Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience in the Property Casualty industry
  • Knowledge of AIG product offerings is an asset
  • University/College or industry related experience
  • CIP/FCIP designation an asset
  • Sales attitude, driven by results and striving for them, new business development
  • Sound account relationship management and underwriting basics
  • Refined inter-organizational skills: ability to build trust, establish support and inspire respect
  • Ability to manage, coordinate, monitor and respond to broker needs in timely manner
  • Ability to manage, prioritize and meet deadlines without supervision
  • Team player and leader – able to build effective relationships
  • Ability to travel required
  • Confident knowledge of systems and PC applications (Windows, Outlook, PowerPoint, MSWord, Excel, and database administration).Will be expected to learn Salesforce
