Role
Reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer, the Vice President, Marketing is a member of the Affinio leadership team. Accountabilities will include Marketing Strategy, Growth Hacking, Customer Advocacy, Driving Traffic, Brand Building, Business Development Support (including Channel Sales), New Business Leads and Voice of the Brand. You will lead our marketing efforts as we scale.
What you'll be doing
Build and execute on the Affinio marketing plan, based on leadership vision
Define and lead marketing strategies that create the Affinio market category
Define KPIs and tracking processes with the Product teams to evaluate the effectiveness of product rollouts, marketing campaigns and more
Define strategies and processes that selflessly support our Sales and Customer Success teams with pitch support: in person, marcom, case studies, videos and other sales collateral
Develop our public relations strategy, including events and public speaking and manage PR resources
Define inbound / outbound lead generation strategies
Stay on top of marketing trends and direct Affinio market research efforts
Leverage data and insights into our customer journeys, driving quantitative measurements
Work cross-functionally to guide a unified approach to customer service & distribution that meets market demands
Build & maintain a solid network of strategic partnerships externally and strong, cross-functional internal relationships
Travel, as required to carry out the above responsibilities
What we're looking for
8+ years of increasing experience in marketing, with demonstrated success at leading and growing a team, ideally at the VP or Senior Director level.
A new business driver, not constricted to the word ‘marketing’. The focus will be on value-driven activities that create real momentum to close new customers and upsell existing ones
A brand-builder with demonstrated success at creating a new market category. Laser-focus ability to carve out market position
Familiarity with marketing SAAS based solutions
An understanding of the fundamental technologies behind Consumerization of Enterprise SaaS, Mar tech, including programmatic, DMP, DSP & SSP models
Demonstrated awareness of the native marketing landscape, as it pertains to publishers / media co and brands
Proven success building PR, influencer and online community strategies
Ability to apply marketing techniques over digital and non-digital channels
A strong professional network with ability to open doors at critical target verticals for Affinio: M&E, Agency, CPG and other
Deep connections to major tech platforms: Facebook, Twitter, Snap, IG, Google, You Tube, et cetera
Proven ability to lead marketing efforts and drive change in times of rapid growth
Strong creative and analytical capabilities
Ability to translate complex technical topics into easy to understand language
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
Strong operational and diplomatic skills
Strong entrepreneurial spirit, tenacity and a willingness to execute on tactical requirements
