NAT Sr Sales Executive At AETNA

Location: San Francisco, California

Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
This position will drive the sales & growth pipeline for the Professional Employer Organizations (PEO) Business, both with new logos in targeted geographies and through alternate distribution strategies in partnership with the Local Markets, i.e., brokers/GAs and business development activities within the markets. This role is critical for the continued success of PEO and will be the catalyst for driving the increased membership growth.

Fundamental Components:
Cultivates strong, productive and influential relationships with brokers/consultants, customers, and peers focusing on the larger or more complex accounts/prospects.
Implements strategies necessary to attain sales objectives in targeted geographies.
Manages complex negotiations. Positions products, rate levels, and expanded product portfolios to increase sales and maximize revenue.
Manages the integration of clients and Aetnas internal organizations to meet clients installation needs and close the deal.
Provides expertise in difficult renewals. Collaborates with account management and underwriting for renewals of top 6 customers and other complex accounts across the book of business.
Works with PEO customers to develop and drive growth and retention strategies targeted to small and mid-size employers.
Identifies various ways to partner with the customer by drawing from entire spectrum of product line. Gains understanding of customers' and their clients; multifaceted needs and recommends appropriate benefits strategies based on Aetna's full array of products and solutions.
Provides strategic sales direction to the Aetna PEO team and various functions that support PEO across the enterprise.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success selling to large national complex groups AND to small and midsized employer groups combined with expertise working with the broker/GA channel.
10-15+ years industry experience.
Applicable state license to sell products.

EDUCATION
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

This role is a key member of the PEO leadership team reporting to the President of the Division; the ideal candidate will possess strong strategic agility to help drive/refine the overall PEO strategy. This role will interact with multiple functions across the Aetna enterprise to deliver on customer promises.
