The Advanced Software Development Engineer
will be responsible for support and development of the ETL process for HDMS's Dart product.
Have full technical knowledge of all phases of applications systems analysis and programming. Under general direction,
has duties of instructing, directing, and checking the work of other systems analysts and programming personnel.
Formulates and defines system scope and objectives for assigned projects. Devises or modifies procedures to solve
complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.
Responsible for program and system design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation. Acts as expert in business
applications and/or cross functional areas. Responsible for directing and monitoring the work of team members. May be
responsible for project completion and user satisfaction. Provides focus on cross-application integration & solution design
as needed to ensure release success.
- 7 years professional experience in Software/Business Intelligence Application development.
Advanced skill level with Object Oriented Design languages.
Open to learning new technologies such as HADOOP, NodeJS, or Informatica.
5 years of SAS Development including SAS Macro Programming.
Experience with Shell scripting ( Perl, Csh, Bash, Korn etc.)
Strong Linux/Unix skills
Experience working with Business Intelligence platforms (such as SAS Enterprise Guide, Business Objects, Cognos, Tableau etc.)
Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, DataStage, or BigIntegrate
Ability to learn unknown languages and technologies quickly
Ability to identify opportunities to maximize efficiency
Meticulous attention to detail
Ability to communicate with development team as well as technical and non-technical coworkers
- Previous experience working with Healthcare or Pharmacy data.
- Strong problem solving, analytical, and project management skills.
- Demonstrated extensive and diverse knowledge of health care data, metrics, systems and standards; demonstrated subject matter expert.
The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
