The role is with a startup IoT company in the smart agriculture space and are currently looking for an embedded software engineer. This exciting opportunity will include: collaborating with UX, Data Science, Hardware, Front-End, Big Data teams to conceive, design, and bring to market innovative customer experiences, embedded software development on custom PCB's , design and architecture of testable, scalable solutions to complex problems, using the appropriate frameworks and Amazon Web Services ecosystem, building with cloud reference architectures , working effectively with a high degree of autonomy and ownership.
The company is in need on the embedded software side. What they have running on top of the controller board is a chip that runs a Bailaina OS (Linux like OS) and on top of that, running Robotic OS (which is more like a framework than it is an OS) which allows them to manage sensors & cameras with code inside of Docker containers.
What the code would do: the code our developers write would connect to one of the camera's, set up connection to stream of video/images, code it so it's piped to particular location in storage. Then when close enough to wifi, loop that's detecting if it's connected and then feed that's connected so uploaded in the right priority.
There is an LCD attached and they use QT framework. LCD is driven by QT framework so these engineers are coding in that and making changes in that UI.
