Vice President Growth (Sales and Marketing) At Aequilibrium Software Inc.

Location: Vancouver, British Columbia

Job Description

This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast growing team on a mission to create digital solutions that enrich people's lives. Reporting to the CEO, you will lead our entire growth ecosystem and will create, inspire and execute initiatives around four main areas: new market expansion, account retention and growth, partner relations and marketing. As the VP of Growth you will lead both our sales and marketing teams in delivering on the growth goals, elevate our brand awareness, enhance the value of our current partnerships and discover new ones, all while ensuring a high-level of satisfaction throughout our customer's journey.


What you'll be doing:

Go To Market Strategy:

  • Develop and communicate a clear vision for the team within the context of the Aequilibrium's overall strategy and goals
  • Look outside the organization to understand clients and their needs intimately and identify solutions to meet those needs
  • Craft solid value propositions and requirements to deliver solutions to defined target markets
  • Leverage existing relationships and build new strategic relationships to increase awareness of Aequilibrium in the defined target markets

Team Leadership and Sales Management:

  • Recruit and grow a team of direct and indirect reports to inspire high performance and professional growth
  • Provide executive sales support to the sales team to help close sales
  • Build a strong pipeline, manage the forecasting process and close business
  • Track and report on established metrics to keep the executive team informed of near-term and long-term goals and enable focused problem solving

Account Management:

  • Manage existing client relationships with customer success and satisfaction as key goals
  • Manage contract renewals and identify growth opportunities in existing accounts

Partnership Management:

  • Define the partner strategy, maintain, expand and commercialize the relation with current partners and establish new partnerships aligned with the organization's vision
  • Build relationships with senior management at key partnership organizations to pursue further growth opportunities

Marketing:

  • Define the marketing strategy and lead the execution of multichannel plans and content strategy that support the growth targets
  • Provide thought leadership by continuously learning about new advances in marketing strategies and execution
  • Establish key performance indicators for the function to guide decision and show ROI
  • Guide the marketing team to execute high impact, targeted marketing campaigns and effective collateral that support sales


What you'll bring:

  • 7+ years of B2B Sales and Marketing leadership experience, in a digital service agency or enterprise software
  • Good understanding of the competitive landscape of the services business or digital space to anticipate trends and apply ideas and initiatives ahead of the competition
  • High proficiency with sales methodologies, sales process and target account selling
  • Data driven, with exceptional analytical, strategic, and critical thinking skills
  • Proven experience mentoring, building, and leading high performing teams
  • Experience scaling companies of varying sizes
  • Enjoyment in rolling up sleeves to develop strategies and tactics that will lead rapid (profitable) growth, maximize value, and enhance performance
  • Excellent communicator with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and vision with clients and partners, as well as internal teams
