Water/Wastewater Engineer At AECOM

Location: Kitchener, Ontario

Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Water/Wastewater Engineer for immediate employment in the Kitchener, ON office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

+ Design and manage a variety of multi-disciplinary water and wastewater projects including master plans, municipal class environmental assessments, studies, conceptual design, preliminary design, detailed design, design reports, tendering, approvals, contract administration, site inspection and warranty services

+ Direct and take responsibility of the production of engineered drawings including review, approval and application of P.Eng., seal in accordance with PEO requirements

+ Perform engineering design calculations in support of design packages

+ Prepare detailed contract specifications including equipment selection and liaison with equipment suppliers and vendors. Review, approve and P.Eng. seal specifications in accordance with PEO requirements

+ Consistently deliver on each project to achieve top-tier industry benchmarks for quality, overall project delivery and project financials

+ Provide clear and focused leadership on all project function related to project design, project management, project control, and construction management to meet overall project goals

+ Lead the development of all aspects of proposal submissions including preparing accurate fee estimates, schedules, and work plans

+ Effectively maintain and develop healthy client relationship throughout the project execution and project close-out

+ Contribute to the team environment that supports AECOM's Client focus

+ Ensure compliance with AECOM and Client quality policies and procedures

+ Ensure strict compliance with AECOM and Client safety policies and procedures

+ Constantly monitor and report on project progress to stakeholders

+ Provide mentoring and technical support of junior staff

Minimum Requirements

+ Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field

+ 6+ years of experience in Water/Wastewater infrastructure

+ Registered as an EIT (Engineer in Training) in the Province of Ontario

+ In-depth process engineering knowledge and application to water and wastewater treatment facilities

+ Proficient in common desktop packages, i.e. Word, Excel, MS Project

+ Strong organizational, interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills

+ Motivated, team player, independent, organized with strong business acumen

+ Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

+ Certification such as PMP, CCE, or related certifications

+ Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in the Province of Ontario
