AECOM is seeking a Project Controls Engineer, this position will have overall responsibility for the design and coordination of technical issues among various disciplines on transportation projects involving highways, bridges and transit/rail structures and facilities.
Duties & Responsibilities:
+ Review and analyze Contractor's Critical Path Method (CPM) Progress Schedules on various transportation construction contracts.
+ Provide recommendations to construction staff on the avoidance, minimization and mitigation of construction phase delays
+ Review and analysis of Contractor's requests for contract Time Extensions
+ Assist in the defense of contract time-related disputes and/or claims; including but not limited to dispute/claim analysis, defects and damage calculations, delay, disruption and acceleration impact analysis, and litigation support
+ Conduct periodic construction project site visits to monitor project progress and assure progress schedule integrity, and participate in regular progress schedule meetings with construction team
+ Provide construction management, scheduling and project set up services for all projects on enterprise P6 system.
+ Develop or review Suggested Preliminary Construction Schedules during the final design stage based on the available plans, specifications and estimate provided by the project designer
+ Conduct constructability reviews of the plans and specifications
+ Candidates shall be proficient with the Primavera P6 software applications
+ Technical Skills:
Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, P6
+ 1+ years construction inspection experience related to heavy highway and bridge construction projects for a State, Federal, or local municipality
+ Experience cost loading and reviewing cost loaded construction schedules
+ Experience using P6 in enterprise environment - setting, trouble shooting up P6 software
+ Experience with time impact analysis and various delay analysis methods
+ Certified by the Project Management Institute (PMI) certified as a Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP), or have AACE International certification as a Planning & Scheduling Professional (PSP),
+ Demonstrate progressively responsible experience in the review and analysis of Contractor's CPM schedule submissions utilizing Primavera P6 for transportation projects
+ Excellent Verbal and Written Communication
+ Database skills
+ BA/BS + 4 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education or BA/BS + 4 YORE or AA/AS (US) + 6 YORE or Diploma/Certificate (Canada) + 6 YORE or HS/GED + 8 YORE
+ Experience with Oracle Primavera Unifier a plus
+ Experience with Oracle Primavera Business Intelligence a plus
+ Experience with Design-Build procured highway and bridge construction projects a plus
+ Training experience - P6 and Unifier
