Instrumentation Technician Journeyman At AECOM

Location: Calgary, Alberta

Job Description

AECOM is currently seeking a Jouneyman Instrumentation Technician to join our Sherwood Park Operations center to support various projects in Alberta. This is a full time position on a 5 day on, 2 day off rotation. Travel allowance and/or Living Out Allowance is provided when assigned to different project/shift rotation.

May include the following responsibilities:
+ Install, calibrate, test, troubleshoot and maintain instrumentation equipment on new or existing plant equipment

+ Troubleshoot electrical, instrumentation and control equipment

+ Consult manufacturers' manuals to determine test and maintenance procedures

+ Use pneumatic, electrical and electronic testing devices to inspect and test instrument and system operation, and diagnose faults

+ Consult with and advise process operators

+ Implement loss management practices

+ Repair, maintain and adjust system components or remove and replace defective parts

+ Do risk assessments

+ Calibrate and maintain components and instruments according to manufacturers' specifications

+ Work with engineers on basic design

+ Install and maintain instruments on new or existing plant equipment and processes

+ Interpret and use appropriate CSA, ISA and API installation standards and practices

Conditions of Employment for this position are:
1. For positions that fall into the list of required positions within the AECOM Oil & Gas Background Check policy, qualified applicants who are offered, and accept, the role must complete a satisfactory pre-employment Background Check. This may consist of all or a combination of the following: Canadian Criminal Record check, an Employment Verification and/or an Education and Accreditation Verification.

2. Qualified applicants who are offered, and accept, a position must provide evidence of a satisfactory Alcohol & Drug test in accordance with the Company's Alcohol & Drug Policy. In order to be valid, the test must have been conducted at the direction of AECOM - O&G Business Unit.

Minimum Requirements

+ Alberta Certified Journeyman Instrumentation Technician or Inter-Provincial Red Seal

+ Construction Safety Training System Ticket (CSTS-09)

+ Standard First Aid Level A or C

+ H2S alive ticket

+ Aerial Work Platform ticket

+ Fall Arrest ticket

+ Confined Space ticket

+ Valid driver's license and a clean driver's abstract required

+ Able to travel, if and when required

+ Able to work different shift and rotation, if and when required

Preferred Qualifications

+ Minimum of 2 years' experience in an Industrial Maintenance role

+ Experience working and executing maintenance in a live Plant

+ Team Player dedicated to delivering results

+ Personal Commitment to safety

+ Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills

+ Personal Management Skills

+ Read diagrams, schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures
