AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Entry Level Environmental Planner for employment in the Oakland, CA office. This position will be supporting one of our important utility clients full time at their office in San Francisco, joining our existing on-site AECOM team. We are seeking a flexible, adaptable, and motivated individual to join our group of more than 100 environmental professionals in the Bay Area.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
+ Working closely with a team of AECOM and client environmental professionals to support utility infrastructure upgrade projects throughout northern California.
+ Accessing databases to collect project description data and conduct desktop-level analysis of multiple projects.
+ Managing the workflow of assigned projects, collecting information on environmental constraints from multiple subject matter experts, and preparing Environmental Release to Construction documents.
+ Assisting the client in preparing environmental permit application materials and agency notification packages.
+ Coordinating resources as-needed for assigned projects.
+ BA/BS + None or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
+ Due to the nature of the work, U.S. citizenship is required
+ Working knowledge of the California Environmental Quality Act and National Environmental Policy Act
+ Experience preparing and/or implementing permits issued by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, US Army Corps of Engineers, Regional Water Quality Control Board, National Marine Fisheries Services, and/or US Fish and Wildlife Service
+ Familiarity with permitting triggers
+ Experience with utility infrastructure projects
+ Adaptable to change in a fast-paced work environment.
