AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Entry Level Coastal Engineer for employment in the Clifton, NJ office. The Coastal Engineer duties could include:
Perform the coastal structure design activities including breakwater, shore protection measures; Support our multidisciplinary projects (such as coastal flood resiliency study, dynamic mooring analysis, ship simulation, etc); and Participate in the report/proposal preparation, interaction with other disciplines.
+ Bachelors degree in Coastal, Ocean or Marine Engineering or related field
+ Knowledge of coastal engineering concepts (e.g., winds, waves, tides, and sediment transport)
+ Master's Degree or PhD in Coastal, Ocean or Marine Engineering or related field
+ Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification
+ Experience with computer programming in Fortran, Java, Java-Script, Matlab, Python or other programming/scripting languages
+ Good written and verbal communication skills
