Creative Strategist At 3Q Digital

Location: San Francisco, California

About You

The Creative Strategist will serve as a thought leader on visual elements that impact advertising performance. As a Creative Strategist, you will be responsible for evangelizing, tracking and ensuring adherence to an in-house creative testing methodology rooted strongly in data. You will serve as a liaison between Media and Design teams, building strong rapport on both sides through process, documentation and a constant creative feedback loop.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record in project managing a Creative queue at large scale, loves using data to tell a story, and is passionate about evangelizing the visual components that drive media buying. This individual will report directly to 3Q’s head of Creative Strategy.

You will need to be quick on your feet, able to adapt to an ever changing, fast-paced, growing environment, and handle critical tasks that enable growth for our customers.

Note: This is not a Design role. While some experience in Design is a plus, this role is ideal for someone who is passionate about the business side of producing advertising creative at scale for clients.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Supporting 3Q’s head of Creative Strategy by submitting creative briefs, working directly with account and design teams to execute strategic creative testing, ensuring a regular feedback loop and documentation of all creative results
  • Prepare and present creative audits to clients through creative performance analysis, competitive research and personal development
  • Develop and maintain strategic creative testing roadmaps for assigned accounts; forming testing hypotheses, prioritizing tests based on anticipated impact and past testing results with an “always on” testing approach
  • Evangelizing 3Q’s vision of high iterations of creative testing in effort to improve advertising performance
  • Acting as a liaison across media buying teams, 3Q internal design team, contractors and a client’s creative team or partners
  • Establishing and nurturing a continuous feedback loop with Designers, Creative & Media teams on creative testing performance across all 3Q clients; delivering formal creative performance reports to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Producing thought leadership for 3Q Marketing purposes: blog posts, case studies, white papers, webinars
  • Assisting in prioritizing the Creative queue of requests based on various factors (urgency, expected impact, client expectations, etc.)
  • Gathering data points around creative testing results at scale across 3Q clients, and drawing objective insights on design elements that tend to lead to better performance
  • Continually working with head of Creative Strategy to make processes smoother, build documentation, and produce case studies

You’ll need to have:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working directly with creative production and a minimum of 1 year of media buying experience in visually-driven online channels
  • Managed creative workflow at large scale
  • An impressive knowledge of visual advertising platforms in Social, Display, Native, etc.
  • Working knowledge of Native Advertising and platforms (Outbrain, Taboola, Gemini Native), and some experience with Organic Social
  • Strong, professional and verbal communication skills. You should be more than comfortable speaking to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Excellent writing and strategic content creation skills
