SALES ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE
Job Purpose
The Sales Account Executive will be responsible for the sales and management of 3GM Steel products in the agricultural, commercial and residential markets. You will be responsible for generating new customers and managing existing ones. Additionally, you will plan, direct, coordinate and develop a direct sales channel within your region. The ideal candidate will be a strategic planner, organized, a team player, and be expected to take ownership of the position.
Responsibilities
- Execute an annual business plan to meet the aggressive growth expectations within our strategic and national accounts
- Lead all aspects of the sales process, while calling upon 3GM Steel sales resources to assist in solution development, proposal delivery and scheduling
- Prospect strategically within agricultural, commercial, and residential roofing markets to ensure a large volume of qualified opportunities
- Ensure optimum customer relations among existing customers and prospective customers
- Assess customer requests for products and make appropriate recommendations based on needs and applications
- Participate in trade shows as needed
- Record and update correspondence and activities in Salesforce
- Exceed monthly and yearly sales targets
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a business-related field
- 5+ years prior outside sales experience within steel or metal roofing industry
- Must be willing to travel extensively
- Must be willing and able to travel to 3GM Steel (Somerset, KY) for an initial training period
- Strong business acumen, leadership skills, and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced environment
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Familiarity with Salesforce preferred
- Must be able to work independently, as well as have a team oriented disposition
