Strategic Analytics Consultant At 360insights

Location: Whitby, Ontario

Job Description

We are seeking a Strategic Analytics Consultant to join our Insights team. The successful candidate will possess both business acumen, analytic skills and the ability to create strategic insights from big data and presenting those insights to clients and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze big data to create insights for 360 clients on optimizing their channel incentive investments
  • Prepare professional presentations and recommendations and present to senior executives at 360 clients
  • Provide guidance to teams to incorporate advanced visualizations to effectively communicate insights
  • Create and source industry benchmarks for Channel Incentives and promotions across key verticals and industries
  • Strong collaboration skills, ability to work on complex, matrix environment
  • Propose, build, test, and iterate on models to answer complex business problems
  • Present advanced analytics to senior audiences with varied levels of statistical proficiency
  • Inform what analyses are built into a productized analytics solution based on market need
  • Work closely with clients to deliver actionable analytics within professional services engagements

Qualifications:
  • The successful candidate will have expertise in all aspects of the quantitative research process including hypothesis generation, data cleaning and preparation, data analysis and research presentation
  • Advanced degree (M.A., M.Sc., or Ph.D.) in a quantitative field
  • At least 7 years’ experience in applied data analysis / data science environment
  • Experience at an analytic consulting company
  • Experience working in industries with a high volume of complex customer and/or sales data
  • Proven track record of developing quantitative models that deliver insights to business stakeholders
  • Proficiency with data extraction and large databases (SQL, Redshift, Maria DB)
  • Expertise in R or Python
  • Understanding of advanced statistical methods including linear regression, arima models, holt-winters forecasting, multi-level modelling and structural equation modelling
  • Deep understanding of advanced data visualization techniques
  • Familiarity with BI visualization tools, preferably Qlik Sense
  • Retail or channel marketing experience a plus
  • Data-driven story-telling and exceptional communication skills
  • Highly motivated and driven to achieve business outcomes for customers
